Migration remains one of the most emotive and divisive issues of our time. Caritas Internationalis, the charitable arm of the Catholic Church, commissioned Lionhouse to create a campaign to challenge and change current perceptions regarding the plight of migrants by encouraging a culture of encounter, understanding and respect.
What we did
A global campaign.
Lionhouse was initially briefed to produce a website that would enable migrants to share their stories. However we saw the potential to deliver a more engaging, embracing and effective campaign through the creation of an inclusive and accessible call to action; the “reaching out” gesture as part of an ongoing social media campaign.
UX, DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
A worldly website.
Supporting the campaign is a website which acts as a hub of information, with live feeds and news updates.
Bringing together migrants, members of the communities they encounter, aid workers, the Catholic church and the general public, the website gave us a platform to unite all these stories and became the focal point of the campaign. We created a downloadable content creation kit, promotional materials and community activation resources to give companies across the world the power to share the campaign message far and wide.
